Report: Larionov signs with Devils

On the same day that the current Red Wings were boarding a bus to head to Traverse City for training camp, another former Wing was doing some travelling of his own.

Veteran center Igor Larionov has reportedly agreed to a contract with the defending Stanley Cup champion New Jersey Devils. The signing, first reported by USA Today's Kevin Allen, was announced this afternoon on Detroit sports radio station WDFN (1130AM).

Larionov, who will turn 43 in December, leaves the Red Wings after eight productive seasons with the club and three Stanley Cup championships.

In his NHL career, Larionov has amassed 168 goals and 633 points in 872 games.
