Forsberg out with groin injury


DENVER (AP) -- Colorado forward Peter Forsberg was a late scratch for the Avalanche's game against San Jose on Saturday night because of a groin injury.

Forsberg has 16 points -- five goals, 11 assists -- in the previous eight games. He missed 22 games earlier this season because of an abdominal injury.
